Belvidere Park has everything you need for independent living, yet with the added support required of a retirement facility.

From our community lounge and dining room, comfortable reading room and swimming pool to daily activities and clubs you will find enough to keep you active and happy.

The main complex at Belvidere Park houses the Care Centre, as well as great lifestyle facilities for the exclusive use of residents.

Library
The Park has a small, well-stocked library offering many different genres of both fiction and non-fiction books.  Residents may borrow books at any time, on an “honour” basis.
Swimming pool
Our swimming pool is situated behind the Community Centre.
Catering service
Our kitchen prepares a daily lunch which can be served in the community dining room or ordered as a “take-away” by all the residents in the Park.
Dinners are served in the dining room on Wednesday and Friday evenings and we offer a Sunday buffet or brunch.
Post
Each cottage is assigned a cubby-hole in the community centre foyer with the house number displayed.  Mail, addressed to the Park’s private bag number, is collected and distributed twice weekly. Mail is also delivered to the Park by the Post Office, daily.
Croquet lawn
The newest addition to Belvidere Park is our brand new, very popular croquet lawn initiated by the residents.  Set under a beautiful shady tree and lined with park benches it’s become a popular spot for casual social gatherings.
Shuttle service
There is a shuttle service between Belvidere Park and Knysna every Tuesday and Friday morning, departing from the Care Centre.  This enables residents who don’t drive to go into town for whatever reason.
Refuse removal
Refuse is removed from the park on a weekly basis.
